Ripples on the Lake
Winter 2009

What happened to “Global Warming” ??
It’s October 16th and the area looks like a winter
wonderland. I hope this is not an indication
of what to expect the rest of the winter.
The snow birds are in a total panic
throwing everything into their vehicles
and heading South.
Things have been relatively quiet in the community.
The parking lot by the mail shed has been tarred and
chipped. This should make things a lot easier in
the winter. The plants are in place at the
front entrance, and the signs were repainted.
Special thanks to everyone who helped.
The community looks great because of the extra effort
of a few people. A Drop Box has been installed in the
mail shed. This box is for any correspondence
members may have with the board.
Everyone is reminded to please keep the mail shed
clean. Also, remember that all boats in the
common area must be removed by Nov 1st.

                                       Enjoy the Winter

NOTES FROM THE BOARD

The board addressed several violations
committed recently and passed the following
additions to the rules and regulations:
  Open fires    $100.00 fine
Construction Work outside of allotted times
1st. offense    $100.00 fine
2nd. offense    $250.00 fine
3rd. offense   matter turned over to attorney
Unauthorized tree cutting:
$500.00/ tree plus replacement.
Everyone is asked to read the rules and regulations.
The “I didn’t know” answer does not hold water.
If there is any question about what can and
cannot be done, just ask a board member or
refer to the “Blue Book” of HLE covenants,
conditions and restrictions each member
should have in their possession.
Another matter which has been brought
to the boards’ attention is the fact that
some people are using other people’s property
as their dogs’ bathroom. There is no problem with
people walking their dogs. However, if your dog
leaves a deposit – Pick it Up! Everyone has enough
property to accommodate their dogs’ needs.
All members are asked to post their
new 911 addresses.
The green signs are available.
Information is at the mail shed.
Road repair work will be starting
on Housepond Court.
Have a safe and happy winter!
